A rare and collector's old non-precious metal Bedouin " powder horn " style charm case probably from Yemen or Saudi Arabia. Made up with alloy of differents metals it's bright as a silver ! A rare find, missing in many collections ( these pieces were allready rare thirty years ago ) ! See a similar sample in " The Art of Bedouin Jewellery ..." by Heather Colyer Ross, p. 66-67.  Excellent workmanship, certainly made by a master silversmith. In excellents conditions. Early to mid 20th century. The length is approx. 28 cm. ( 11.02" ) and the heigth in the center is 10.5 cm. ( 4.13" ). Weighs 448 grams ( 15.80 Oz ).

A collector's antique silver Bedouin hollow " spikes " bracelet from Saudi Arabia or Yemen. Some attribute these bracelets to Nubia or Sudan. This bracelet features repoussé work and three conical spikes. Good alloy of silver, in fine conditions, ligthly worn. See similar sample on the front and back page of " Silver Speaks, Traditionnal Jewelry of the Middle East ", exhibition at the Bead Museum in Washington, DC, 2002-2003. Early 20th century. The inner circumference ( including the space at the opening ) is approx. 15.8 cm. ( 6.22" ) and the space at the opening is 2.1 cm. ( 0.82" ). The thickness is ca. 27 mm. A nice antique Bedouin cap from Yemen or Arabian Peninsula. Rare piece in good conditions, decorated with old metal -gilt coins, mostly from Saudi Arabia. One is dated 1327 from Hegira ( 1909 AD ), the others are sewed strongly with the date below and it's not possible to read the date without to cut them out. A very good piece for collectors. A great antique silver Bedouin hollow anklet from Red Sea area. These anklets were in use from Arabian Peninsula to the border of Egypt. Some attribute them to the Halayeb tribes ( border between Egypt and Sudan ) but they were worn principally by the Rashaïda women in Somalia. See similar sample in " Enchanted Jewelry of Egypt " by Azza Fahmy, p. 153 and " Africa Adorned " by Angela Fischer, p. 278-279. and Tribes of the Red Sea area. This sample is made up with good alloy of silver. Ligthly damaged due to years of traditionnal use, with two very old repairs. Standing up, the height is 10 cm. ( 3.93" ) and the diameter of the tube is 2.7 cm. ( 1.06" ). The ends measure about 3.7 cm. in height ( 1.45" ). The space at the opening measure 3 cm. ( 1.18" ) and the inner circumference  21.5 cm.
