silver-gilt Turkoman / Turkmen hexagonal pectoral "
Göndschük " from Tekke Tribe, Central Asia. Excellent workmanship
in good alloy of silver fire-gilded. The gold wash is in perfect
coditions. The dangles are in
silver too. Embellished with superb color cornelians or agate stones. First half
of the 20th

An exceptionnal antique
rectangular silver nielloed and fire-gilt amulet container from
Bukhara, in Uzbekistan. Chased silver on both sides decorated with black
niello and small glass beads ( many missing ). The two lateral sides are
decorated too.
The front and the back side are fire-gilded and present the date of 1328 from Hegira, about 1910 AD
and a written inscription ( see pictures 2 and 3 ). On the top, one
other inscription with the date of 1329. The russian
coins are dated 1915 AD. Some of the small silver chains are missing. Openable
on the top. Exceptionnal quality of workmanship, museum quality piece ! See

A great antique silver
Turkoman double-headed "dagdan " talisman, from Tekke Tribe, Turkmenistan.
First half of the 20th century. Very good alloy of silver, fire-gilt and
decorated with braun, red and turquoise glass stones. Two small loops
show old repair ( see pictures ). The highly stylized double-headed
eagle was an emblem of the Seljuks and considered as " holy and sacred "
by the silversmiths. This talisman was usually worn by the Turkmen

from Hegira, about 1915 AD. Nice silver chain with russian

Openable, it is just fixed with a stem connected to one bead attached at

A lovely antique silver gilt temple hanging or pendent from Bukhara in Uzbekistan. RARE ! Late 19th, early 20th century.Thin sheet of silver gilt attached to paste-like substance ( wax ). Some dangles are not complete and one is missing. The small chain at the top left should be fixed. Decorated with coral beads and coloured glass stones. Overall in good conditions for the age. See more on this jewellery in " Uzbekistan " by Johannes Kalter and Margarita Pavaloi, p. 286, ss. It measure about 16 cm. ( 6.29" ) in height and the width is 6.5 cm. ( 2.55" ). Weighs 38 grams ( 1.34 Oz ).

A superb and rare antique
silver chased ornamental frontal or diadem from Turkmenistan. Fixed
on iron plaque, it was attached to a cloth cap. Very good quality of silver alloy,
decorated with old glass chased stones. Totally
absent in the bazaars and missing in many collections. It measure about
7 cm. in height, in the center
( 2.75" ) and 17.2 cm. in width ( 6.77" ). Weighs 92 grams (
3.24 Oz ).

A lovely pair of old
silver and coral Uzbek earrings from
Bukhara in Uzbekistan. Excellent workmanship in silver filigreed and
granulated with great coral beads. Very good alloy of silver. Easy to
wear with an additionnal clips. They measure about 10 cm. ( 3.93" ) in height, all included, and the
width is 1.5 cm. ( 0.59" ). Weighs 28 grams ( 0.98 Oz ).

A beautiful antique
non-precious metal Turkoman / Turkmen breast ornament " Göndschük "
from North Afghanistan, probably Ersari Tribe. In original conditions
and complete with all the ethnic decorations, shell-fish, small bells
and glass beads dangles. Embellished with fine cornelians or agate
stones and, in the venter, one Cameo. Early 20th century. See similar
piece worn by wife of a Teke Khan in " The Arts and Crafts of Turkestan
" by Johannes Kalter, p. 80. An excellent piece for collectors, in very
good conditions ! The total height is about 61 cm. ( 24.01" ) , all
included, and the width is ca 17 cm. ( 6.69" ). Weighs 560 grams (
19.75 ounces ).
