A magnificent antique
jewellery set from Khiva ( Khorezem ), in Uzbekistan. Consisting of
a triple necklace, temple hanging and earrings. Superb craftmanship in
silver filigreed and partially fire gilded, ornamented with superb pale
coral, turquoises, blue glass beads, cornelians and colored glass
cabochons. In very good conditions, ligthly crushed as usual for these
pieces, some small beads missing. Second half of the 19th century, early
20th century. See similar piece in " The Arts and Crafts of
Turkestan " by Johannes Kalter, p. 115 and in " Uzbekistan "
by Johannes Kalter and Margarita Pavaloi, p. 292. A MUSEUM PIECE FOR
COLLECTORS ! It measure about 50 cm. ( 19.68" ) in width from earring to
earring. The temple hanging, including the earings are 39 cm. ( 15.35" )
height. The medaillons measure ca 7.5 cm. by 6 cm. ( 2.95" by 2.36" ),
including the dangles and the diameter of the loop of the earrings is

Teke Tribe. In very good conditions, with the gold-wash well
preserved. Beautiful

color carnelians. Very old pieces, early 20th century, with signs of age and wear. These bracelets can be difficult to fit and they
cannot be bent to change their shape : your measurements should be close

House Amulet from Tekke Tribe, Central Asia. In original conditions and complete with
all the ethnic decorations, shell-fish, small bells, thimbles and glass
beads dangles. Embellished with great color cornelians. The cornelian in
the center is engraved. Early to mid 20th century. See similar piece
worn by the wife of a Teke Khan in " The Arts and Crafts of Turkestan "
by Johannes Kalter, p. 80 and in " Jewellery from the Orient - Treasures from the Bir
Collection ", by Wolf-Dieter Seiwert, p. 258. AN EXCELLENT PIECE FOR COLLECTORS, IN VERY
GOOD CONDITIONS ! The total height ( without the upper cotton threads ) is about
34 cm. ( 13.38" ) and the width is 19 cm. ( 7.48" ). Weighs

A gorgeous pair of antique
bell shaped
silver earrings, from
Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The filigree workmanship is just remarkable. Excellent alloy of silver. In
very good conditions. These are very collectible ! They
measure about 11.5 cm. ( 4.52" ) in height and the diameter below

silver Ersari pendant, from
Turkmenistan. Used as pendant it was probably at the origin part of
a temple jewellery : see similar pieces in " The Arts and Crafts
of Turkestan " by Johannes Kalter, p. 98. Early
20th century. In good conditions, with fine patina. Very good alloy of silver, decorated with
glass stone. The height is 13.5 cm. ( 5.31" ) and the width measure
5.7 cm. ( 2.24" ). Weighs 40

A very nice antique
silver articulated " Manglaylik " Turkoman diadem, from Tekke Tribe, in
Turkmenistan. Early to midlle of the 20th century. Very good alloy of
silver, chased and partially gilded, decorated with colored glass
stones. Not cleaned. Complete with the seven elements and the upper
brooch. In good conditions, one element damaged below ( see picture 7 ). See similar sample in the
Ghysel's Collection " A World of Head Ornaments ", by Anne van Cutsem,
p. 87. The maximum height is 8.2 cm. (
3.22" ) and the length measure about 59.5 cm. ( 23.42" ). Weighs

silver Turkoman bracelets from Turkmenistan or Northern Pakistan.
Low grade silver with fine appliqué decor, in very good conditions. See

opening measure 2.3 cm. ( 0.90" ). The inner circumference ( including

silver gilt and appliqués " boteh-shaped " belt elements, from
Damascus or Aleppo, in Syria. Lare 19th century. Very good alloy of
silver ( the strips at the back are made up with medium grade silver ).
In excellent conditions, embellished with small blue glass beads, at the
imitation of turquoise. See similar pieces in " The Arts and Crafts of
Syria " by Johannes Kalter, p. 94-95. They

An attractive
antique
fire-gilded silver Turkoman bracelet, from the
Teke Tribe, from Turkmenistan or Northern Afghanistan. Excellent
alloy of silver with gold-wash and decorated with red glass stones (
worn by years of intensive use ). Early to middle of 20th century, with signs of age and wear.
The gold-wash is well preserved. Very ligthly adjustable. The height is
5.9 cm. ( 2.32" ) and the space at the
opening ( in the middle ) measure 3.6 cm. ( 1.41" ). The inner circumference ( including
the space at the openning ) is approx. 18.7 cm. ( 7.36" ). Weighs

lapis-lazuli stones. AUTHENTIC, NOT A RECENT COPY ! An
excellent piece for collectors and easy to wear ! See similar pieces in

An exceptionnal antique
silver chased Turkmen head-dress, from Central Asia-. Two
parts, still connected with the original chain. Excellent alloy of
silver, in very good conditions, lightly battered. Superb chased decor,
with small colored glass beads on the top. VERY RARE ! FOR COLLECTORS !!
These pieces are totally
absent in the bazaars and missing in many collections, but see a similar
sample in " Jewellery from the Orient - Treasures from the Bir

Some dangles are not complete and one is missing. The small chain at the top left should be fixed. Decorated with coral beads and coloured glass stones. Overall in good conditions for the age. mixed metal Tekke dome-shaped " grupha " head ornament, from
Turkemnistan. Used on girl's cap it's complete with the two
plait ornaments still attached. Fine workmanship in very good conditions,
with traces of silver mixed with others metals. Decorated with red glass
stones. Second half of the 20th century. See similar sample in the
Ghysel's Collection " A World of Head Ornaments ", by Anne van Cutsem,
p. 86-87. The diameter of the dome is 7 cm. ( 2.75" ). The plait
ornaments measure ca 46 cm. (
