A magnificent antique jewellery set from Khiva ( Khorezem ), in Uzbekistan. Consisting of a triple necklace, temple hanging and earrings. Superb craftmanship in silver filigreed and partially fire gilded, ornamented with superb pale coral, turquoises, blue glass beads, cornelians and colored glass cabochons. In very good conditions, ligthly crushed as usual for these pieces, some small beads missing. Second half of the 19th century, early 20th century. See similar piece in " The Arts and Crafts of Turkestan " by Johannes Kalter, p. 115 and in  " Uzbekistan " by Johannes Kalter and Margarita Pavaloi, p. 292. A MUSEUM PIECE FOR COLLECTORS ! It measure about 50 cm. ( 19.68" ) in width from earring to earring. The temple hanging, including the earings are 39 cm. ( 15.35" ) height. The medaillons measure ca 7.5 cm. by 6 cm. ( 2.95" by 2.36" ), including the dangles and the diameter of the loop of the earrings is 5.4 cm. ( 2.12" ). Weighs 436 grams ( 15.37 Oz ).

A sublime antique pair of  fire-gilded silver Turkoman bracelets, from the Teke Tribe. In very good conditions, with the gold-wash well preserved. Beautiful honey color carnelians. Very old pieces, early 20th century, with signs of age and wear. These bracelets can be difficult to fit and they cannot be bent to change their shape : your measurements should be close to the following. The height is 9.5 cm. ( 3.74" ) and the space at the opening measure 2.7 cm. ( 1.06" ) at one end, 3.4 cm. ( 1.33" ) at the other. The inner circumference ( including the space at the openning ) is approx. 19.5 cm. ( 7.67" ) in the middle of the bracelets. Weighs 554 grams ( 19.54 Oz ).

These are a recent production ( I found them six years ago ) but made by a master silversmith : it's difficult to mark the difference between these and an antique sample ! Tiny sheet of silver gilded on resine, embellished with colored glass stones and baroque pearls. Very nice design, in excellent conditions. A great antique silver Turkoman bracelet, probably from Tekke Tribe. Very nice design and excellent alloy of silver. Decorated with dark red glass stones. Early to mid 20th century, in excellent conditions. See similar sample in the collection René van der Star " Bijoux Ethniques d'Afrique, d'Asie et Iles du Pacifique ", p 102. These bracelets can be difficult to fit and they can only ligthly be bent to change their shape : your measurements should be close to the following. The height is 9.8 cm. ( 3.85" ) and the space at the opening measure 3.1 cm. ( 1.22" ) at one end and 3.7 cm. ( 1.45" ) at the other. The inner circumference ( including the space at the openning ) is approx. 17.3 cm. ( 6.81" ) in the middle. Weighs 162 grams ( 5.71 Oz ).

A wonderful antique fire-gilt silver necklace-pendant from Khiva ( Khorezem ) in Uzbekistan. Fire-gilt silver decorated with turquoises, cornelian and coral beads. The dangles are a mix of old islamic and russian coins with others elements. In good conditions. Very nice workmanship, late 19th century, early 20th century. See more on this jewellery in " Uzbekistan " by Johannes Kalter and Margarita Pavaloi, p. 283 ss.   The pendant measure about 10 cm. by 6.5 cm. ( 3.93" by 2.55" ) and the silver chain ca 54 cm. Very good silver alloy, embellished with real small coral beads and  small silver beads. Very elegant to wear using a small additionnal clip. Excellent conditions. They measure about 13 cm. A beautiful antique rectangular silver Tajik amulet container from Turkestan or Northern Afghanistan. Chased silver on both sides. The front side is partially fire-gilded and present the date of 1333 from Hegira, about 1915 AD. Nice silver chain with russian coins ( dated from 1905 to 1915 ). Openable, it is just fixed with a stem connected to one bead attached at the silver chain. Excellent quality of silver alloy. Early 20th century. The upper filigree decoration is missing. A very good sample for collectors. See similar piece in " Uzbekistan " by Johannes Kalter and Margareta Pavaloi, p. 300. It measure about 9 cm. ( 3.54" ) in height, all included, and the width is 10 cm. ( 3.93" ). The circumference of the silver chain is ca 79 cm. ( 31.10" ). Weighs 172 grams ( 6.06 Oz ).

An exquisiste antique  fire-gilded silver Turkoman bracelet, from the Teke Tribe. Great patina due to the age and intense use. Beautiful honey color carnelians. Very old piece, late 19th, early 20th century, with signs of age and wear. Much of the gold-wash has worn off, offering a great patina. These bracelets can be difficult to fit and they cannot be bent to change their shape : your measurements should be close to the following. The height is 7.7 cm.
