An exquisite and extremely
rare pair of antique
silver Bedouin bracelets from
Fayum or upper Egypt. Bracelets with this very original design can't
actually be found in the bazaars and aren't repesented in Ghysels and
René van der Star collections. These samples are about 80 to 90 years
old but are not stamped. Worn on the corners ( see pictures ). Superb patina and craftmanship : they are made
up with four strips of silver, separated but with the feeling that it's
only one strip ! Very ligthly adjustable. The inner circumference
measure 15.2 cm. ( 5.98" ) and the space at the opening is 2.7 cm. (
1.06" ). The height is 2.5 cm. ( 0.98" ). Weighs 96 grams ( 3.38 Oz ).
