hollow-silver three parts anklet from Rajasthan, Northern
India or Andhra Pradesh. With attached clusters of hollow silver bells (
gola ). Very good silver alloy, containing copper. Not cleaned, just in
the same way I found them. In good conditions, some bells are ligthly
crused ( see pictures ).The
front height measure about
4.7 cm. ( 1.85" ), including the bells. The interior diameter is ca.
7.5 cm. ( 2.95" ) and the inner circumference approx. 24 cm. (

A wonderful antique
silver coins amuletic necklace, from Northern India. Made with
old coins as ornaments, these necklaces contribute to the wearer's
prestige. All the coins represent king Georges V and wear the dates 1912
to 1920. The beautifully made silver chain is decorated with small
stylized birds. The blue decorations on the medaillon are made of glass. An excellent and rare piece for collectors.

A superb old
Mala Buddhist prayer beads from
Tibet. Excellent design, quality silver beads and great patina on
the dangles make this Mala up. It's made of 99 wooden beads and three
pink-orange glass beads, at the imitation of the coral. The two lower
dangles are in very good alloy of silver, nicely worn. See a

An attractive antique
non-precious metal torque from
Pakistan ( Swat ? ). Great design ringed in spiral spring
using only one big metal thread. Embellsihed with two cornelians or
agate stones on the center of a lotus flower ( very old representation,
back to the 7th century ). Well preserved, with an old repair on the
back. First half of 20th
century. Worn by years of traditionnal use.
The spring make it flexible. See more on these torques in "
Traditional Jewelry of India ", by Oppi Untracht, p. 227 ss.
and a similar sample in the Ghysels collection " Colliers Ethniques... "
by Anne Leurquin, p. 208. It measure about
42 cm. ( 16.53" ) in circumference, including the space at the

Central Asia, possibly Khurasan. Early to mid 20th
century. The silver content is about 50 to 60 %. They were cleaned
recently with traces of rust, but still an excellent opportunity for

A rare an unusual sample

silver " snake " hinjed bracelet from Madhya Pradesh, in India.
This bracelet is shaped like a coiling snake. On this sample, the design
is very original with decoration at both ends and with an hinje system.
First half of 20th
century, a great piece for collectors ! Very good quality of silver alloy. See
