An exceptionnal antique pair of silver flexible chain bracelet or anklet from Rajasthan, Northern India. The indian silversmiths are unexcelled in creating silver chains. The mark of quality of these pieces is the suppleness of the chain : made up with oval links folded and soldered, the chain structure is superb. A Museum quality item. See differents ( but near ) pieces in the Ghysels collection : " A World of Bracelets " by Anne van Cutsem, p. 184. The front height measure about 4.4 cm. ( 1.73" ). The interior diameter is ca. 6.2 cm. ( 2.44" ) on the top and 9.5 cm. ( 3.74" ) down. The inner circumference is approx. 19.4 cm. ( 7.63" ) on the top.  Weighs 596 grams ( 21.02 Oz ).

A great antique silver pendant with cloisonne enamel symbolizing the colour of lapis lazuli, from  Multan in Pakistan. Late 19th, early 20th century. A highly prized pair of old silver, turquoise and glass Tibetan earrings. Early 20th century. Very good alloy of silver. The two  " turquoises " stones on the loop are fake, made of kind of plastic, replacing the original stones diseappearing during long years of traditionnal use. One of the big beads at the center is real turquoise. The other seem be a stone or very strong glass. The red beads are made of glass, at the imitation of the coral. VERY RARE ! They measure about 11 cm. ( 4.33" ) in height and the diameter of the loop is approx. 4.3 cm. ( 1.69" ). Weighs 76 grams ( 2.68 ounces ).

A superb old Mala Buddhist prayer beads from Tibet. Excellent design, quality silver beads and great patina on the dangles make this Mala up. It's made of 99 wooden beads and three pink-orange glass beads, at the imitation of the coral. The two lower dangles are in very good alloy of silver, nicely worn.  See a similar sample in the Ghysels collection " Colliers Ethniques d'Afrique, d'Asie, d'Océanie et d'Amérique " by Anne Leurquin, p. 279. An attractive antique non-precious metal torque from  Pakistan ( Swat ? ). Great design ringed in spiral spring using only one big metal thread. Embellsihed with two cornelians or agate stones on the center of a lotus flower ( very old representation, back to the 7th century ). Well preserved, with an old repair on the back. First half of 20th century. Worn by years of traditionnal use. The spring make it flexible. See more on these torques in " Traditional Jewelry of India ", by Oppi Untracht, p. 227 ss.  and a similar sample in the Ghysels collection " Colliers Ethniques... " by Anne Leurquin, p. 208. It measure about 42 cm. ( 16.53" ) in circumference, including the space at the opening. The height in the center is 3.1 cm. ( 1.22" ). The space at the opening is 4.3 cm. A rare pair of antique silver nielloed bracelets from Central Asia, possibly Khurasan. Early to mid 20th century. The silver content is about 50 to 60 %. They were cleaned recently with traces of rust, but still an excellent opportunity for collectors. Not represented in the Ghysels collection " A World of Bracelets " by Anne van Cutsem. The pendants ( the lower is enameled on both sides ) and the beautiful chains give an impression of lightness.
